Terms of service

The service

BoxSoft provides software for appraising properties, pricing and sending quotes, capturing leads, and scheduling jobs. We may improve or change the service over time and may add or retire features. We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

Your account

You must give accurate information when you register and keep it current. You are responsible for everything done through your company’s accounts, for keeping passwords private, and for the people you give access to. Tell us at hello@boxsoft.app right away if you believe an account has been used without permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use BoxSoft to:

• send quotes, notices, or any other message to people who have not asked for or agreed to hear from your company, or in any way that breaks Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) or similar laws where the recipient lives;
• enter personal information you do not have the right to collect or use;
• upload unlawful, harassing, or infringing content;
• probe, scan, or interfere with the security of the service, or access another company’s data;
• resell the service or use it to build a competing product.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Your data

The information your company enters into BoxSoft belongs to your company. You give us permission to store and process it so we can run the service for you. You are responsible for having the consent and legal right to collect the personal information you enter about your customers, and for how you use it. How we handle personal information is described in our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

Fees

Fees are set out on the pricing section of boxsoft.app. The Free plan costs nothing. The Pro plan is billed monthly at the price shown there, under terms agreed with you when it is set up, and continues until either side ends it. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email; a change applies from your next billing period after the notice.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using BoxSoft at any time and ask us to close your account and delete your company’s data. We may suspend or close an account for a breach of these terms or for non-payment, giving notice where it is practical to do so. After an account is closed we delete the company’s data on request, except for records we must keep by law.

No warranties

BoxSoft is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including about fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of pricing calculated from the price sheets you set up, or delivery of email by third-party networks. You are responsible for checking the quotes you send.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, BoxSoft is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees your company paid us in that period, or $100 if you paid nothing. Some of these limits may not apply where the law does not allow them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of British Columbia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top and, for a material change, email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
